ALFA-A LITE is the fibre feed for working horses and ponies who need a lower sugar feed. For example, horses and ponies at risk of laminitis but who need to gain condition or who are in regular work. Alfa-A Lite has been formulated to be very low in sugar, whilst providing an excellent source of slow-release energy. With approximately 8.5 MJ/kg, Alfa-A Lite provides the same energy per kg as a pasture or cool mix/nut. ALFA-A LITE is made from pure alfalfa which has been chopped and dried at a very high temperature to lock in the natural goodness and ensure the very best quality product for your horse or pony. Alfalfa is an excellent natural source of antioxidants.

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF FEEDING WITH DENGIE ALFA-A LITE:

Alfa-A Lite can be fed on its own or it can be combined with cubes or a mix, like Dengie Fibremix, for those horses with a higher energy requirement. If good grazing is unavailable and you are feeding Alfa-A Lite as the sole feed, use a broad-spectrum vitamin and mineral supplement, such as Dengie Optimum.

RESPIRATORY CARE

The alfalfa in Alfa-A Lite is dried at a very high temperature which effectively sterilises the product, killing moulds.
