Complete grain mixture with pellets and fresh water shrimp for adult chickens

Chickens are omnivores and out in the open they would naturally eat vegetation, berries and insects, in addition to seeds.  Alfamix chickens gives a natural balance, as it contains shell grit, vegetables and dried lobster, in addition to the seeds.  The food contains healthy fatty acids (for example from linseed) and natural carotene.  The composition makes the food complete, specifically balanced to keep your chickens’ perfectly healthy and help develop a high level of natural resistance.

A healthy chicken will regularly lay a delicious and healthy egg!  The alfamix chickens ensures your chickens will lay eggs that are full of natural flavour, with a dark yellow yolk and a healthy amount of omega 3 fatty acids.

Please note:  an egg won’t develop its full flavour until three days after laying.  Plus a fresh egg is very difficult to peel, as the shell membranes are still very close to the inside of the shell.  Tip:  write the date the egg was laid on the shell with a soft pencil.  Store the eggs in a cool place outside the fridge.  Egg shells are porous and can therefore easily dry out in the fridge, or even take on the smell of other products.
The easiest to peel and most delicious (cooked) eggs are the ones eaten three to ten days after laying.

Feeding advice

alfamix chickens is a complete food for all (bantam) hens and chickens.  You will not need to add anything else.
You can scatter the alfamix chickens in the run, or place it in a food dish or tower.
Provide fresh water and food on a daily basis.  Make sure the food is eaten up every day in order to avoid selective eating.
Chickens will eat the alfamix chickens in accordance with their nutritional needs.  The quantity eaten depends on the bird’s size, level of activity, whether they are laying eggs and/or receiving any additional food by free ranging.  We would recommend giving them the quantity of food they will eat during a 20 to 22 hour period once a day.
